Since her childhood, Susan Knowles Jordan has grown up in the shadow of Maine's beautiful Acadia National Park. Her family has always had a deep appreciation of nature and the wonderful outdoors of Maine from its rocky coast to the interior forests and mountains.
The closeness Susan feels with the natural beauty of her home state and its wildlife is well represented in her painting. Breaking the bonds of a local talent to being an invited artist at such prestigious shows as the Annual Waterfowl Festival in Easton, Maryland and the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition in Charleston, South Carolina, has resulted in a surge of interest in the works of this Maine artist.
